IN REMEMBRANCE DOMINICK GIORDANO NOVEMBER 10, 1925 – OCTOBER 16, 2026

"I have led a charmed life."

Those were Dominick Giordano's words, and those who knew him would surely agree. A century of family, service, achievement, curiosity, travel, and laughter made for a truly amazing life.

Dominick, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, just weeks shy of his 101st birthday.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dominick grew up surrounded by an extended family whose traditions remained central throughout his life. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, and Christmas Eve brought the cherished Feast of the Seven Fishes. Family gatherings, always accompanied by good food, held a special place in his heart and created cherished memories he treasured throughout his life.

In 1943, while attending college, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces as an Aviation Cadet. He served honorably through November 1945. Following his military service, he earned his undergraduate degree and LL.B. from St. John's University School of Law. After twelve years in private practice, he enjoyed a banking career spanning more than thirty years, choosing a path that allowed more time for his growing family. He also served as President of the Brooklyn Bar Association, the Columbian Lawyers Association, and the Downtown Lions.

Dominick possessed an inquisitive mind, a wonderful sense of humor, and a twinkle in his eye. He loved to laugh and had a delightful appreciation for life's lighter moments. He was passionate about music, history, art, language, chess, and lively engagement with current events. A lifelong believer in staying active, he ran 5Ks and half-marathons for years and continued his daily walks well into his later life. Travel was another passion, shared through adventures around the world. 

Above all, Dominick took immense pride in the lives, education, and accomplishments of his five children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of whom survive him. He also leaves behind a loving extended family, including his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. In keeping with his wishes, inurnment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on November 12, 2026. No public service is planned. Those fortunate enough to have shared Dominick's charmed life will remember him with love, admiration, and gratitude
